QUALIFICATIONS
A person applying for this position must be at least 18 years of age, in the process of becoming professionally prepared to be a teacher of young children and meet requirements of the city and state licensing agencies. This person must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, and be able to relate well to children. In addition, he or she must be willing to fulfill his or her responsibilities in accordance with the Center's educational philosophy.
REQUIREMENTS
•assisting in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the head
teacher
• assisting in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies
• supervising the classroom when the teacher is out of the room
• helping with the general housekeeping tasks
• assisting the teacher in any other appropriate way
• maintaining professional attitudes and loyalty to the program at all times
• treating all of the children with dignity and respect
• attending all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences
• participating in professional organizations that work toward the improvement of early childhood education
